THE SINGLE FRAME
An experiment in attention with 2026 Spring Cohort Artist-in-Residence, Alyson Wong.
In this workshop we will make just one photograph.
Rather than chasing many images, we’ll slow down and work with attention, perception, and the body in space.
Through a series of simple exercises, we’ll practice ways of seeing: waiting, noticing, and making contact with the environment around us.
The goal isn’t to produce a “great” photo. It’s to experience what happens when we inhabit a moment long enough for a single frame to emerge.
Participants will make one image and reflect on the process of making it as well as leave with a different relationship to the act of photographing.
No photography experience necessary, just curiosity and an openness to the act of seeing.
Sliding scale pricing available.
