April Break / Kid's Recycled Art Camp

EARTH WEEK 2026

April 20, 2026 – April 24, 2026
Ages 5–8*

Join us at Still Life Studios with local artist Missy Arellano (an EEC Certified teacher) for a five-day morning art camp during April break.

In honor of Earth Day/Week, your camper will be invited to explore their creativity through earth- and nature-inspired projects using recycled and repurposed materials.

Each day, artists will transform everyday items into imaginative creations, while drawing inspiration from the natural world. We will spend a portion of each session creating indoors, while also incorporating outdoor exploration and play into daily lessons.

Student Age: 5-8* years

Dates: Monday-Friday; April 20–24, 2026

Time: 9AM–12PM

Daily Schedule: Theme/material-based visual art activity followed by outdoor play and exploration - or - an educational/creative local excursion, pre-approved by parents. 

Session cost: $250/five sessions ($60/day drop-in, subject to availability)

*If you are interested but your child falls outside of this range, feel free fill out the form as we compile a waitlist for ages 9-11.

Beginner Knitting with Alison of Avu Studio

  • bring your own materials, however

    • we usually have knitting needles you can borrow

    • yarn will be available for sale

  • we suggest US 7 knitting needles and worsted weight cotton yarn

  • The class will get you started on a beginner project. Once you are ready to work on your own, you may join the knitting/mending circle in the main workshop area. Alison will be available for assistance throughout the evening.
