No regular session on February 12 – insead we will meet at Lesley’s Lunder Arts Center at 5pm for a public reception for an exhibition of work by letterpress artist Amos Paul Kennedy, Jr.. See details below. Register here for free to stay in the loop with our group.

Lesley Art + Design presents Citizen Printer: Amos Paul Kennedy, Jr., a solo exhibition featuring the work of the Detroit-based printer whose letterpress practice brings together printmaking, language, and social justice.

Through posters, ephemera, and book works spanning his career, Kennedy uses printing as a form of civic engagement, making space for language that challenges, connects, and carries meaning in public space.

Originally developed by the Letterform Archive in San Francisco, the exhibition highlights Kennedy’s deep roots in Black print culture and the role of design and authorship in community building and resistance.

The exhibition is on view through March 1 at the Lunder Arts Center. A public reception will take place on February 12 from 5 to 7 pm and is open to all.
