A two-part screening across two evenings and space to watch and reflect together
As I Was Moving Ahead Occasionally I Saw Brief Glimpses of Beauty by Jonas Mekas
Join us for a rare viewing of this 4 hour 48 minute experimental film by Lithuanian filmmaker and poet Jonas Mekas, a central figure in diaristic filmmaking. In this composition of home-movie fragments, passing moments, and seasons of life assembled over 30 years there is no single narrative to follow. Instead, the film moves like memory itself: intimate, drifting, attentive to the beauty of ordinary life.
▸ Part I Screening: Wednesday, April 22 | 6:30 - 9:30 PM
▸ Part II Screening: Friday, April 24 | 6:30 - 9:30 PM
